Teachtaireacht do thuismitheoirí/ Message to parents

5th Nov 2020

Ag tacú le ráiteas an t-Aire Oideachais cúpla lá ó shin, ba mhaith liom mo bhuíochas a ghabháil libh uilig as bheith tuisceanach agus tacúil go dtí seo i dtaca leis na rialacha nua a bhaineann le COVID-19 agus stad a chur leis an víreas a scaipeadh. Táimid ag déanamh ár seacht ndícheall bheith chomh cúramach agus is féidir linn sa scoil agus timpeallacht sábháilte foghlama a sholáthar do bhur bpáistí. Ar an ábhar sin, ba mhaith liom cur i gcuimhne a thabhairt daoibh maidir le scaradh sóisialta agus mascanna a chaitheamh ag geataí na scoile. Nuair atá tú ag fágáil do pháiste ar scoil agus á dtógáil arís, déanaigí cinnte go bhfanann sibh scartha ó thuismitheoirí agus teaghlaigh eile le bhur dtoil agus is chóir do dhaoine fásta masc nó clúdach aghaidhe a chaitheamh i rith an ama más féidir leo fosta.

Bhéinn thar a bheith buíoch dá dtiocfadh libh iarracht ar leith a dhéanamh na rudaí breise seo a dhéanamh le stop a chur le scaipeadh COVID-19 agus le cinntiú go bhfuil ár bpásití agus pobal iomlán na scoile sábháilte agus in ann freastail ar scoil ag an am dúshlánach seo.

In support of the Education Minister’s statement in the past few days, I would like to thank all of you for your understanding and support until now with the new rules regarding COVID-19 and stopping the spread of the vrus. We are doing our utmost in school to be as careful as possible in providing a safe learning environment for your children. On that note, I would like to remind you about social distancing and the wearing of masks at the school gates. When dropping off and picking up your children, please ensure that you remain distanced from other parents and families. All adults and children over 12 years old should also wear a face mask or covering at all times unless a health issue prevents them from doing so.

I would be extremely grateful if you could all go the extra mile with us on this to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and to ensure that our children and whole school community are safe and able to attend school at this challenging time.
