AGM Chairde na mBeann

Cairde na mBeann will be holding their AGM tomorrow (Thursday, 18th September) @ 6:30pm in Páirc na Mara. We ask that as many parents and family members as possible attend to offer your opinions, expertise and input to our school's PTA. There are a number of committee roles to be filled for the year ahead (details in the invitation attached) but there are also other ways to get involved.

Cairde na mBeann have been significant contributors to the improvements in the school's resources in recent years, providing funding for a wide range of items including:
- outdoor play equipment
- STEM resources for use in the classroom
- Furniture, curtains and blinds for our Naíscoil's sensory room
- Laptops to be used in class
- Cloakroom trolley
- Replacement flooring for Rang 6/7 classroom
- Travel costs for school trips and excursions plus much more

Without Cairde's work and help, your child may have missed out on these wonderful educational opportunities. With educational budgets getting squeezed year on year- 96% of our allocated annual budget will be spent staffing costs leaving minimal remaining spending for resources, your willingness to get involved with Cairde na mBeann and their fundraising endeavours is becoming more and more important.  

Where possible, please attend Cairde na mBeann's AGM and offer your help and input. Please return any nominations for committee roles to the school office by close of business today.
